orensen Cellars Wines
2006 Pinot Gris-Sauvignon Blanc
• 2/3 Pinot Gris, 1/3 Sauvignon Blanc.
• A bit of age on this wine now, but Sauvignon Blanc it still shows tropical fruits and a creamy mouthfeel.
• Only a few cases remain of this popular white.
2007 Viognier
•A popular white from the Rhone region of France.
•Almond, apricot peach and vanilla. I like this with dried fruit and Chevre.
2007 Sangiovese
New Release!
Always popular, a real crowd pleaser.
Look for nuances of pie cherries, fresh cranberries showing very soft on the palate.
Only 100 cases made. Last year I sold out in May, it will go fast!
2004 Cabernet Franc
•92% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon.
•For you Franc followers, this is a good one.
•Off of Ciel du Cheval Vineyard on Red Mountain.
•Cedar, pepper and sweet fruits, then drifting to subtle flowery herbal notes.
•Try with Muscovy Duck Breast.
2004 Merlot
•Made with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon blended into the wine.
•A big Merlot, some might even suggest its a Cabernet Sauvignon.
•Nice soft blackberry, black cherry, toasty oak, maybe even a hint of dark chocolate.
•Speaks to lamb stew.
2005 Syrah
•A classic syrah, the fruit comes off of Windy Ridge Vineyard above The Columbia River.
•Dark fruits, plum and light American Oak.
•The season is not far off, so fire up the barbie and throw on some marinated ribs!
